People call me SNOW WHITE ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It bothers me so much. But I have learned to ignore it. I have also been called "UGLY ________ ALBINO." That really hurt me. It caused me to hide my albinism but what I should really do is express it and show it as much as i want. You are right, if respond to the bully you are just as bad as him.

It's okay. But what you should really do is be proud and flaunt your albinism because it is a rare and beautiful thing!

I´ve also been bulliied but I have realized that the bullying really has nothing to do with me and my skin- and haircolour. People who are hurting may sometimes attack others who trigger something inside of them (they may secretly be feeling different than others etc They clearly have issues anyway!) otherwise they wouldn´t react to our beauty and our bold statement of being different just because we are albino and leave our home in the morning...
Anyway - it has nothing to do with our looks - it's all in their heads. People who are joyful and happy don´t attack other people with name-calling, right?!

Hi everyone!I get called names as well. As if Snow White wasn't enough some call me "grandma"(must be colourblind if they can't differentiatebetween grey and pale yellow!)whenever I go out lots of people stare at me like I'm some kind of freak. It's really very annoying. Some wom't even believe that I'm my parents daughter because of the difference in complexion.
To me, such people are completely ignorant narrow-minded and have a severe inferiority complex.
If someone keeps staring at me well I just give them the most cold and challenging stare I can manage. Mostly it's better to ignore verbal bullies because whatever they say it doesn't affect who I am inside.

I´ve figured out that I just say hello! and smile friendly if people are staring at me, as if I knew them or they knew me. They usually say hello! back and stop staring... and I always say hello to the people I meet in my apartment complex... not because I always recognize them, but they certainly recognize me and having a nice contact with your neighbours is important... it makes you feel "normal" when you small-talk to people who accept you for who you are (not because they know you, they accept you as their neighbour), and if you meet people who don´t like your apperance, you know that most people you meet like you... and that it´s their problem if they don´t like you. Of course I get sad if I am verbally attacked, but the next second I meet the ordinairy kind people again, who are everywhere...
...but it was harder in school... of course... where everybody is anxious about looking different and being accepted... wouldn´t want to go through that again... but as an adult...it´s much easier...
